Premium FOREST BOARD Coffins

Print First - High Resolution, Carefully Controlled

Every Forest Board coffin starts with the print. This is where quality is established from the very beginning.

All graphics are produced using high resolution imagery. Wooden textures are carefully prepared and blemishes are removed to ensure a clean and natural finish. Images are never stretched or distorted. Every surface is designed to look authentic and balanced from every viewing angle.

We print using two multi million pound presses located on our site. These machines deliver consistent colour control across every sheet, ensuring reliable results from one coffin to the next.

During printing, inks are exposed to UV light which cures the surface instantly. This process effectively bonds the ink to the material, creating a durable and consistent finish that resists marking and handling during assembly and use.

This print first approach ensures that Forest Board always begins with a premium visual standard.

Engineering Precision - Cut with Accuracy

Once printed, every component is cut using CNC controlled cutting technology. This gives us exceptional control over every detail.

Unlike traditional die cutting methods, CNC cutting allows us to avoid crushing the edges of the material. This maintains the structural integrity of the board and improves the final strength of the coffin.

Tight tolerances are maintained throughout production. This accuracy ensures:

  • Clean edges

  • Consistent assembly

  • Improved structural performance

  • Better fitting joints

These small engineering details combine to enhance both the strength and quality at every stage of construction.

Structural Strength - Built from the Core

At the core of Forest Board is one of the strongest fluted cardboard materials available. This high performance core provides exceptional structural integrity.

Cardboard strength is primarily driven by paper weights and flute construction. Forest Board uses the highest grade paper weights available, creating a strong foundation before further engineering is applied.

As the coffin is constructed, additional layers are bonded to the core. This multi layer structure significantly increases rigidity and overall performance.

The result is a material that feels solid and firm to the touch, delivering confidence in both handling and presentation.

Hand Crafted Bonding - Moisture Resistant and Reliable

Forest Board is assembled using a carefully controlled, hand crafted bonding process.

We use water based PVA adhesives to bond the printed surfaces to the structural core. This method ensures even coverage and eliminates air pockets.

The benefits of this process include:

  • No air bubbles

  • No delamination

  • Consistent bonding

  • Strong structural integrity

This bonding process also enhances moisture resistance. Forest Board coffins can be used inside mortuary chillers for several weeks without any change in performance or surface finish.

This reliability is critical in real world conditions and is a key factor that sets Forest Board apart.

Transforming the Cardboard Coffin

Forest Board is more than a material. It represents a different approach to cardboard coffin design.

By combining high quality print, precise engineering and structural strength with hand crafted assembly, we have created a material that changes expectations.

The finished result is a coffin that looks refined, feels solid, and performs reliably in professional environments.

This is how Parley Green is helping transform what a cardboard coffin can be in a modern world.

Forest Board - The Material Behind Parley Green Coffins

Forest Board is the material at the heart of every Parley Green coffin. It is not simply cardboard.

It is the result of carefully engineered layers, high quality print, and a hand crafted bonding process developed over time to deliver strength, consistency and reliability.

We refer to this combination as Forest Board because it brings together three core elements:

  • Print quality

  • Engineering precision

  • Structural strength

Each element is critical on its own. Together, they transform what a cardboard coffin can be.
